An Introduction to the System

Introduction to the DISA System - The DISA system categorizes human behavior into four main types, each associated with a specific color. Understanding these types may help in recognizing patterns in people's behaviors, including one's self.

Behavior Type Distribution - Most individuals (about 80%) exhibit a combination of two dominant behavior colors, while roughly 5% show dominance in one color, and the remainder are characterized by three colors. - Green behavior, either purely or in combination with another color, is the most common. Entirely Red behavior, or Red in combination with another color, is the least common.

Self and Interpersonal Awareness - By understanding the characteristics associated with each color, individuals might recognize qualities they admire in others and identify areas for personal growth. - The chapter encourages reflecting on one’s own behaviors that align with these types, acknowledging both strengths and areas of improvement. - Readers are prompted to actively engage with the content, such as taking notes or underlining, to enhance understanding and application of the material to personal and professional contexts.
